NorthShore Inline Marathon

The Minnesota Power Corporate Challenge has a new coordinator. Cale Carvell - former owner of Rainbo Sport Shop, one of the original and long running sponsors of the NSIM, for 35 years operated one of the largest skating specialty stores in the United States and one of the first places to carry inline skates. Rainbo had 5 stores successfully selling ice, roller, and inline skates in the Chicago area, and through their catalog world wide. Cale founded Team Rainbo 17 years ago consisting of enthusiastic inline skaters and racers. Now, with 65 members, the team consists of skaters of all ages from 10-65 and is recognized around the country. Cale has been a top national competitor in the masters division, veterans division, and hopes to be a contender for the top spot at this year's new Grand Veteran division (55+). He has finished first in his division in countless races over the years and has finished 2nd in the St. Paul, as well as the NSIM races in the pro veterans division. Cale brings his enthusiasm and experience to coordinating the new Minnesota Power Corporate and Team Challenge, and hopes to help increase the excitement and participation of the North Shore Inline Marathon, throughout.
