NorthShore Inline Marathon

K2 has stepped up to challenge the Elite skaters to break the current NSIM course record(57:18). Chad Hedrick(2006 Olympic speed skating Gold Medalist), skating with teammates Derek Downing(former NSIM Champ), and Keith Turner, all of the then RollerBlade Team, set the current mark in 1998 on 80mm wheels, albeit with the aid of a steady 12mph tailwind. The conditions were ideal and these guys put an exclamation point on the Inline Marathon that stands to this day. Today's skate equipment technology and the commitment of a number of World Class skaters could, weather conditions permitting, challenge the ten year old course record, break it, and earn $10,000.00.
