Calling all KIDS: Come one, Come all, the 2025 Northern Lights Foundation Kid Sprints are back!
The 24th Annual Northern Lights Foundation Kid Sprints are back and better than ever for 2025! This year, kids have the opportunity to Inline Skate or Run the Sprint Course or for extra FUN, kids can do both, Skate & Run! The Northern Lights Foundation Kids Sprints are FREE. Registration is Online (until September 7, 2025) and at the Northern Lights Foundation Booth on Friday afternoon.
Join in the FUN, and bring your kids to this awesome event happening Friday, September 12, 2025.
Skates & Helmets will be available for the Kids Sprints thanks to our sponsor: ROLLERBLADE.

12:00 to 3:30 pm: Kids Sprints Registration at Northern Lights Foundation Booth

3:00 pm: Meet Duluth Husky Mascot - Harley

3:00 pm: Meet the UMD Dance Line, along with the UMD Mascot Champ

3:50 pm: National Anthem — Dave Zbaracki

4:00 pm: START - Kids Inline SKATE Sprints

5:00 pm: START - Kids RUN Sprints

6:00 pm: Recognition Ceremony
FREE for all kids 14 age 14 and under Kids may participate in the Inline Skate Sprints, the Running Sprints or BOTH.
SPECTATORS: It's your time to celebrate the "spirit of FUN and competition" while watching these awesome youngster during the KIDS SPRINTS — see you along the course! Also outside the DECC, you will find the Rollerblade Skate Park will be on display, along with rollerski demonstrations by FinnSisu.

Kid Sprints
Join us on September12, 2025 for the 24th annual
Northern Lights Foundation Kid Sprints.
These short Inline Skating and Running races are aimed at giving kids an opportunity to experience racing and to have a ton of FUN with their friends and siblings.
The distances range from 50 to 200 meters,
and finish on the same finish line as their
older NSIM heroes.
Ages 14 & under are welcome to join the FUN and excitement of the KIDS SPRINTS — all skill levels are welcome to participate.
